dtr7720 Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 so i jsut got my banshee motor rebuilt, and we started it, took it for a spin around the yard, then shut it off, then we started it again for another quick ride around the yard and the was a ticking coming from the stator, it sounds like a short? any ideas? Ruko Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Did you adjust, or at least check the gap on the pick-up?? I put a new one on a few years ago and had a tick for a while.... turned out the magnet on the flywheel was hitting the pick-up. It still worked fine but it ended up cracking it before I found out what it was. Quote

sinisterboo Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 you can set the air-gap with a business card IIRC..... just make sure to check BOTH tabs, as someone could have jacked your flywheel up using incorrect puller..... Quote
