The serval, cheetah cub, wampus, etc. Can anyone please explain the difference between them all? Im planning a budget to build a 421 +4 banshee motor and am not really sure where to start on which cylinder kit to look into. Thanks a bunch Search a little more man, they are all covered pretty thoroughly. On a side note, if you're on a budget then scratch the wampus off of your list. SonOfSand Posted March 9, 2011 Report Share Posted March 9, 2011 If you are building a 421 on a budget then there is only two cylinders to consider really. 1. Cheetah Cub, these are drag cylinders, make the most power, but more difficult to ride in an all purpose application. 2. Serval Cub, these are an all purpose cylinder, with great power at most rpm. The serval is an all around cylinder with modified port timings to allow the power to be a very usable all round power motor. the WOMPUS is designed for street racers.....yes it DOES have different port timings than stock and is meant to be a power motor.....but it looks REALLY close to stock....if you werent within 5 ft of it and knew what you were looking for, youd miss it. camatv Posted June 13, 2011 Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 the cub is the budget friendly cheeta... if there is no budget really the cheeta is a much better choice.. all the low end of a serval and the top end of a cub with NO head issues or other issues related to that casting.. anyway you look at it tho the CP cylinders are a VERY great choice!! i wouldn't rule out the twister small blocks they are just not as polular.. i think twista has a small bore PV cylinder but i am sure it takes some work to get to run really good. might call them just to have all your options cover'd how much is your "budget"? and what do you have already will be really what you need to look at...
