Michael Jackson Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Yea I guess that's what they are called is that how or is there an idle screw on each side???? you have to get rid of the tors, get a new throttle cable kit, with actual idle screws, (about $50-60) install the idle screws in your carbs (drill + tap), new throttles cables, then go through the carbs and worry about tuning them correctly Quote
Sacho87 Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 It was running great before I rebuilt top end it runs great now other than idle I was told reason y I keep blowing pistons is my fuel is too lean so I switched to Klotz and 32:1 mixture new plugs Maybe that will help Come on shee wizz help me out gotta be something simple Quote
tedd1 Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Did you do a leak down? Have you cleaned and adjusted the carbs? Make sure there is plenty of fresh fuel? Is it getting to the carbs? If it is lean, you probably need a bigger main jet in the carbs. Lean has nothing to do with the type of fuel and oil ratio. What size domes do you have and what is your cranking pressure? You might possibly need higher octane fuel. Deto or pre-ignition will destroy pistons as well. Quote
