Dunes98 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 What does it mean when your plugs are darker on one side? Any help out there? Quote
fastquad02blaster Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 That you have an air leak somewhere on the lighter side, a head gasket leak on the lighter side, or that your plug or boot or something else isn't making a spark on the darker side. Just some things that could be wrong. Quote

Snopczynski Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Dark on one cylinder vs the other? Or, Darker on one side of the plug vs the other side of the same plug? Quote
Dunes98 Posted January 12, 2011 Author Report Posted January 12, 2011 Dark on one cylinder vs the other? Or, Darker on one side of the plug vs the other side of the same plug? Darker on one side of the plug. Both plugs look pretty much the same. Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Darker on one side of the plug. Both plugs look pretty much the same. Combustion chamber shape, carbon build up, and fuel being used all effect that pattern. It is probably nothing to worry about unless it looks like there is water intrusion in the cylinder. Quote
