inline cooler

has any of you guys ran the inline cooler with temp gauges on them do they work are they worth the change you spend for them? also what to the normal operating temp for banshee?

my banshee runs at 160-190 any hotter than 210 and you will start to over heat. as for the gauge i think anything you can do to know how hot you r running is wotrh it .just depends on how nice you want it to look. don't think they really help in cooling really i have the inline cooler and my brother doeasn't and mine doesn't run any cooler at all.

I would love to see a controlled scientific test done on the inline coolers.

X2. At 200-210 I would shut her down.

 

I would say the best cooling option is an oversized aluminum radiator and a billet water impeller. You can get a Boss radiator for $135 too your door

i have 2 of those coolers on my bike 1 on the top hose and 1 on the bottom. do they actually work i have no clue. i have a pd impellar and oversized radaitor. i just use them because they were on the bikee when i bought it. maybe there just like a boost bottle and serve no purpose but just for looks

no they dont, the speed of the water flow is to fast for the small amount of "cooler" surface area, its just not gonna work.

 

gauge ? i dont even turn mine off when it starts smelling funny haha, i just find a nice straight, get some speed and coast in a top gear. that cools it pretty quick.

I keep one in my tool box so if you blow a hose you can cut the bad spot out and resplice the radiator hose back together.

 

I run my banshee up to 225-230 deg F. I dont go any hotter than that. Most of the time it runs in the 180-210 range. Temps measured in the upper radiator hose right as the coolant exits the head.

Divide total surface are of radiator by area of inline coolers = .000001% increase in cooling capacity. Left them on because didn't want to buy new hoses.

Not too change the subject, But how well does distilled water work? I've heard people saying its way better than 50/50 anti freeze. Is it okay on the motor and aluminum radiator?

distilled and deionized water is to help against corrosion and scale.

its good for all cooling systems.
