gapanic Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 My engine is leaking oil. It drips off the rear shock and swing arm when parked. I haven't actually seen where it comes from but my motor is missing something under the upper rear engine mount . On page 124 of clymers it shows some sort of hose connecting to This point. All I have is a hole so what kind of fitting am I missing. Quote
robert0762 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 crankcase vent hose goes there . there sould be a plastc fitting to slide it on to ant the hose routes to a high point usuall arount the rad and faces down Quote
Jereme6655 Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 if im thinkin right there should be one coming off the rear of the motor and one off of the clutch cover side of the motor that run up above the carbs and get connected with a T-connector and then the other end gets routed up near the gas cap vent Quote
AKheathen Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 i had that same fitting pop out of the case over a year ago......good thing i didn't go through water on that ride, lol........found out when it dumped a quart all over the ground. check to see if the white fitting is still attatched to the end of the vent hose t'd into the clutch cover. if it is, you can just push it back into the gromet, getting in there to do it is the hard part.
