Factoryxperimental
Hello, I have done my research and this looks like very easy build to do and by far worth doing. I don't need help I just want some opinions. I do not own a banshee but have ridden them several times, just feel like I need to make the jump from atc/trx250r's do to the lack of after market supply. bbcmudtruck
Its been done a few times on here. If you did some searching, you might be able to come up with a very well documented build. You will have to fab up quite a bit of stuff. Nothing fits.
Factoryxperimental
most the fab work is going to be pipes, the motor will pretty much bolt with the existing mounts. Here are the two threads I have looked at so far: http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=119035&hl=airtite&st=0 http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=88068&st=0 however, is this worth doing? Factoryxperimental
Since I am most likely going to build it, what year yfz chassis would be the best choice?
Pat the one the only
lack of aftermarket supply?!? the 250r is the winningest quad in history, and pretty much any part made can be bought for it, what are you talking about? and the atc 250r is still very legit, most engine parts are the same as the trx250r, and there are still a ridiculus amount of parts around and being made. Factoryxperimental
well the banshee is more affordable in my view, and I hate Honda. The Atc/Trx250r are great bikes, but it is getting more and more expensive each year. I can't even get a decent replacement crank if I needed to, hot rods and wiseco cranks suck. Just to rebuild my honda atc250r would cost me $2000-$4000 and that is using ebay prices and not top of the line parts. And I can build a quad for that price. Don't get me wrong I would love to get another atc250r later but right now as a college student, I don't have time for a bike that has no oem support. Plus I like the banshee motor more. lol. VictorK
Every single part stock or aftermarket is available for 250R's new and used. If one place doesn't have it another will. You shouldn't have a bit of trouble locating atleast good used atc parts either. The yfz banshee would be sick to ride though.
