CFH87 Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Are the R2 pipes really worth cuttting the plastic? I keep hearing that their awsome pipes. And I have also been thinking of getting 28mm carbs for my banshee what kind would you reccamend for me to get. And do would these 2 things makde a huge difference over stock carbs and fmf pipes. MacRacer1 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 I have never run them myself but I have heard they are awesome what type of riding do u do Quote
CFH87 Posted October 23, 2010 Author Report Posted October 23, 2010 Mostly trail but nothing too tight and a lot of open snowmobile trails. Quote
rubeat Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 You will not be disappointed go ahead and try them. The R2s kick the butt off of fattys and the old fmf mid top pipes to. Quote
CFH87 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 I'm just worried about them on some trails or how well they will work Quote
sleeper06 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 I personnally have a set as trial peice,I dont have a dyno but have tried these pipes on four diffrent motors i have built in the past two months.all motors were ported and carbed.I have liked the way the pipe signs in and how early it signs in,you will have no prob trail riding or dragging .My advise is get them chrome rite away I wish i did.The overall design of the expansion chamber works if you ask me its the smoothest transition i have seen yet. With these pipes ,stock carbs ,stock modded trans,4mil,ported,my boys bike ran a 5.0 in the 300ft with realtors. They work Quote
CFH87 Posted October 24, 2010 Author Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yea I've been thinking of getting these pipes, and 28mm carbs over the winter for my banshee because my fmfs are welded together .... Quote
ionroller Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 are they a top pipe? or mid? Quote
T_Shee Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 they come on in the mid range and pull well into the higher rpm range. i have them in chrome and am very happy with them. i had dmc and toomey before and these rev out way better and come on about the same time. i would highly recommend them if you want your bike to pull. for anyone worried about trails. it all really depends on your motor setup. if its stock porting and you cant ride in the trails because of a mid to top pipe then you just cant ride. i have a dune ported 4 mil that i ride in some of the tightest trails you can imagine with no problems. them im also able to drag race it with friends. if you like your motor to stop pulling in the mid range then get a bottom end pipe but not as much fun imo Quote
ionroller Posted November 13, 2010 Report Posted November 13, 2010 How often do you burn your legs on those monsters!!!! How loud are they with the silencers they come with? Quote
