Ok well I tried the 400 and way to rich now it idle throught the roof. So I went to the other side back to a 240 and it really came alive. Actually impressed me. But this thing idles way to high. I back the air screw in and out no change the idle screw were backed all the way out. These are the slide screws. Now what has got me messed is I left the pilots alone and 035. And it was fine before the jet change the only thing I did was move the needle clip up one. Would that cause that. I am goin to order a few sizes smaller pilots.

make sure you didn't suck the cable out some somewhere, like the carb tops. 240, swtill does sound a bit lean. did you mean 340? if you are extremely lean, then it usually doesn't do much more than run it low on oil, but if you are just a little lean and it's making some power, it will melt the pistons.
