armydelta Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 i just replaced my crank seals on my 06 banshee when i got done and added new fluids it took a wile to start but i got it. then i went through the gears. about 5th gear the bike bogged out and shut down as the motor got slower it made a small grinding noise. and just stopped and now i cant get it to start again no matter what i try i do not have the TORS on the banshee got those taken off any ideas Quote
bansheesrtoys Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 sounds like something came apart. take off the stator cover first and make sure the flywheel didn't come loose and then i would pull off the flywheel and check the stator plate is tight, if all that is good then i would then look into the clutch cover side and pull it make sure the clutch basket bolt didn't come loose or the nut that holds on the gears on the crank. jbooker82 Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 the key does not just fall out or shear. You didnt have the nut tight enough. All the key is supose to do is locate the flywheel in the proper position on the crank. The taper and nut is what holds the flywheel on. Quote

I use an impact on mine for a couple hits. Quote
