sams01banshee Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 hey guys i was out at bundy hill last weekend with some buddys and my quad was fine for the first 3 hours of riding and then all of a sudden i lost all my power. went back to the truck and changed the plugs and all was well, for about 15 mins till it did the same thing. i noticed only one cylinder was firing so i changed the bad plug and off i went. now i was starting to get pissed since it did it again in like 5 mins this time. i have never fouled plugs b4 any of this. its the left cylinder that keeps fouling. what could my problem be?That carbs keeps leaking gas also when the fuel is on and its not running. it just pours out. any help would be great guys. Swap the spark plug boots around and see if the same side still fouls out. Quote
AKheathen Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 you need to clean that carb out. if it's overflowing, then it's also shooting more fuel in the venturi while it's running. likely just some stuff clogging the float needle, or something Quote
Bruce_Blaine Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Bro I have the exact same problem. My right plug is super dark and I can swap plugs and it runs great for like 10 minutes. I don't understand, and mine has a miss at low rpms. WTF. Quote
J-Madd Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 A leaky crank seal can cause that. You could be burning transmission oil. Quote
