NewToBanshees Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 My Banshee has a tendency to spit coolant out of the overflow hose if its hot and I get bogged down in sand or something. My buddy (who rides mostly bikes) told me I should get a radiator cap that has a higher psi (maybe .5 psi higher). He said he has done it to 2-strokes and it solved the problem. Does anyone know if this is common practice with Banshees also? If not any other suggestions? I want to stop this, but i dont want to melt my pistons in the process......help! Thanks Quote
06specialedition Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 I run a 16PSI Mr. Gasket radiator cap with the built in temp gauge on mine.....seems to work well. Maybe try that. I know there is a topic on here with the part number for that cap. Quote

locogato11283 Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 If your bike is spitting coolant out the overflow hose, there is probably a good reason for it. Something may be pressurizing the coolant system. Quote

Mr. Gasket radiator cap I really like that one, now that I have the fullbores the ugly black cap just shows a lot. Quote
