burhead Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 I have a vm 34 laying around that came off of one of my polaris scramblers that recieved and upgrade. I have been reading that a 2 into 1 setup helps with lowend performance. My bike only has bolt ons and that is probably all it will ever have. I currently run +4 timing, shaved stock head, Fmf fattys (soon to be R2s). My bike currently has TORs and instead of eliminating them I thought this might be a good upgrade. So has anyone tried it? I did a search and could only find guys that where running them in a dual setup. I see people running 34 pwks in a 2 into 1 and I have had better luck with VMs on my polaris' vs the pwk carbs. Thanks for any input. Quote
GrMeyer Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 2 are better then one for some reason no the banshee. Plus if your going to be moving to some R2 pipes, then I would prob be looking for some 28-30mm carbs. Unless your going to move to a stroker crank. The stock carbs are easy to tune if you under stand the carbs and have a vac gauge. Most people think that looking and seen both slides move at the same time they are synced. WRONG. You can get them close, but they will we off not matter how good your eye/s are. There are alot of people on here that have Fattys or have had them. Quote
burhead Posted October 6, 2010 Author Report Posted October 6, 2010 I have had no real issues with the stock carbs. I just figured before I modify them with the TORS removal I might try this. I was thinking maybe I would see a little better bottom end and not completely kill the topend. I am probably putting the cart before the horse as i haven't even tried the R2's yet. From everything I have read the R2s are an improvement over the fattys, more topend with similar low to mid range. I may just have to try this for myself and see how it goes. Quote

sleeper06 Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 I tried a 42 mm jet ski carb on a 2-1 it ran awsome,The best part about it was adjusting it diffrent screws for low/mid/top.My boy is a jet ski guru so i had help but a fuel pump/drill the intake for a pulse and i was set.I was even able to set the pop off pressure which is pretty kool to me Quote
