midlifecrisis Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 OK, so I wasnt sure why, but my axle to me always looked a little cock eyed in the carrier. I asked my buddies to give me their opinion, and they said I was nuts. Welllll, I checked it when I was replacing my chain tensioners, and I was right, there are 2 fewer threads on the left than the right finger tight. Problem is, after I loosen everything off to move the axle back on the left, it wont seem to move, What is this about? Im sure its not common, am I missing something or is this thing just being ornary? Quote
Burt Reynolds Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 im cornfused, when you tighten down the carrier bolts, unless something is bent that should put it straight,or at least close. i always adjust the chain by hand by pulling back on the axle, then tighten the carrier bolts, then snug up my tensioners Quote
midlifecrisis Posted October 3, 2010 Author Report Posted October 3, 2010 Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head there with "as long as nothings bent"! Anyone got a rear setup for sale? Ive been looking for an axle, now it looks like I need a carrieir as well Quote
