2jugrider Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Seems like I am always heading back to camp to refuel, even my kids 90cc quads outlast me. Any one put a larger tank with the fullbore plastic? I don't mind trimming it. Or maybe a custom tank under the seat as a reserve? (fake nitrous bottle, or?) Thanks 2jug Quote

Thanks 2jug They have the IMS oversized tanks..im not sure how many gallons stock tank is, but ive seen 4 gallon tank and the biggest ive seen is 5.6 gallons... they seem pricey in my book.. around $275.... I beleive its just bolt on and go!!! Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 You're S.O.L with a bigger tank and full bores unless you cut then up a bunch (will look gay). There is a pic on here of some black full bores with an 5.6 IMS tank. I run One piece Laker plastic and im not cutting up my experience plastic to fit a bigger tank. But the idea of an extra reserve tank some place would be a good idea, on sleds we run a nitrous bottle or and extra fuel tank inside the seat. When i go on pretty long rides and my 4x4 buds with racks arnt there to carry my fuel, wobbly pops and food, i fill up two 1L bottles of extra fuel and put them in my back pack for the lil extra range to get back home. donkeypuncher Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 yeah, i think cutting fullbores to use an oversize tank wouldn't look so great. if i were you i would run a six pack rack to hold a couple extra gallons of fuel. Quote

Thanks 2jug check out this craigslist ad. this is what fullbores look like with a 5.6 gallon tank. imo i wouldnt waste 300 bucks just to cut it up. if you want it already setup buy this guys setup. shipping might be a pain but at least you dont have to pay full price on a front set of full bores also he is a member on here and bobby is a good guy have bought from him before. cant remember his user name http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/mcy/1964694156.html Quote
2jugrider Posted September 25, 2010 Author Report Posted September 25, 2010 Yeah, I don't like the look of the big tank. I will just come up w/ an extra tank setup. I was thinking that it would be cool to set up the extra tank w/ a line from the main tank so it fills up automatically. Of course it would have to be low enough but a custom fab. alum. tank (any leads?) that was 1 gal or so. It would be pretty easy to fit in somewhere under the seat (a bannana shaped rectangle I suppose) NIce thing about it is that it keeps the weight lower and centered. Put this on the list of cool stuff to do someday. 2jug Quote
slacker1bob Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Sweet, people are talking about my tank and cut fullbores for sale. For the record, I bought them this way, and would never sacrifice good fenders like that, but if ya like the look and dont want the guilt of cutting them yourself and making $300 fenders worth $75, Buy mine http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/mcy/1980494402.html Quote
