corypro Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Hey guy, first off I would like to say hello . I've been a long time Yamaha fan and just bought my first Banshee last night. Apparenty the engine is siezed but was missing the kick start, so I'll be doing a tear down later tonight to figure out exactly what the problem may be. The main reason why I made this thread was to ask one simple question. What, if any, rad cover mods are there out there? For a 2001, the Banshee looks rather boxy IMO and am familiar with body modifications. I was looking to get inspired by others works and was wondering what you guys may have done? Thanks Quote
donkeypuncher Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 welcome to BHQ! when you say you're lookin for rad cover mods is that to improve cooling/air flow to the radiator or do you want to change the look (you mentioned the banshee being boxy)? the only air flow "mod" i've seen done is i think by a guy named dunny on here. he made some radiator shroud things like the 450's have that he bolted on to the stock radiator cover. if you are wanting to lose the "boxy" look the only thing i can think of to change that would be with fullbore plastic. bode1 Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Don't forget the much disliked Maier Raptor plastics. I like the square look or the Fullbores. http://www.maier-mfg.com/catalog/yfz350-banshee-custum-race-front Quote
corypro Posted September 22, 2010 Author Report Posted September 22, 2010 Thanks guys. That's exactly what I'm looking for Quote
Larry's Shee Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Why would you want to look like a craptor? Quote

bansheesandrider Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 The boxy look and the twin headlights are what make it look like a Banshee. That is why I don't like the Fullbore plastic or the Maier Raptor conversion. Quote

AKheathen Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 i think the fullbores look nice, but still like a banshee....if you're gonna "race cut" anyways. the craptor plastcs don't even look like either machine because of the base. you can clean it up with a nice jds customs grille, too....
