dirtbike drew Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Hay I'm looking for quick info. I'm looking to buy a piston kit tomorrow and want to see that's the better kit wiseco .020. Or. VITO'S .020 CAST PISTON KIT. Both come with top end gaskets and wrist pin bearings. The wiseco kit is $175. Shipped. And the vitos is I think like $145 shipped. Want to see what is the best kit out of these 2. For the banshee. I'm boring it .020 over. No port work. T5 pipes. The thing is to that I like to re ring at least once a year and I can get wiseco rings for a good deal. Let me know what u think. Thanks for the info. Quote

prssantana Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Im pretty sure only some of the vitos are made by wiseco. If you look at their site it says it on some but not the others. I just got some superstocks too but havent gotten it put back together to try them out. Quote

dirtbike drew Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 Ok cool thanks. So if they are made by wiesco. Can I use wiesco rings on the vitos pistons superstock. Just want to know because it easier for me to get wiseco rings. And do u know how much 2 sets of rings are to re ring the vitos if I use vito rings. Thanks. I'm still looking to buy some soon but just not sure what way to go yet. Thanks. Quote
dirtbike drew Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 One more if I get vitos .020 over. T5 pipes. No port work on cylinders. I think boyesen reeds. Stock carbs. They do have bigger main jet in them now for the pipes. But don't recall off hand right now what size. With stock air box with k&N filter. What would be the size main jets I would have to put In them. Dose any one have this set up now or close. What is your main jet size. Thanks... Quote
dirtbike drew Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 The vitos piston kit I was looking at are cast .020 over. Is the cast a good piston or are the forged better. The cast vitos kit $ 145 And the wiseco kit is .020 pro-lite forged. $175. Quote
T_Shee Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 forged is better. did you look at the link i posted? nothing against vitos but if your gonna buy wiseco then get them from passion for a great price. if you want to spend the extra money on superstock they are great pistons and will give you some more power. i wold imagine wiseco rings will fit them the same but you may wanna ask vitos to be safe Quote
