sheefreak Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I would say definately. You are definately affecting case volume w/that much spacing. If you are trying to clear your carbs then just put the spacers after the reeds and it shouldn't affect much that way. Quote
ELKARACING_SHEE Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 holy shit, that spacer is huge Quote
madjimmax Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Unless you need them to clear the carbs and the clutch arm, you should just toss them. IMO Quote
06specialedition Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Unless you need them to clear the carbs and the clutch arm, you should just toss them. IMO X2 ditch them unless you need them to clear larger carbs Quote
BANSHEE HP Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 v-force recommends not to use a reed spacer Quote

NYUK Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 whats the purpose of running the reed blocks so far from the cylinder? Quote

AKheathen Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 whats the purpose of running the reed blocks so far from the cylinder? because 7mill was too much for him, lol Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Spacers add midrange power when you space out the reed. You go too far, and it increases the crankcase volume quite a bit, thus not making the cycle efficient. Regardless of what it does, running spacers on a motor with cpi's is going in the wrong direction. Quote

So taking out those spacers and putting in say 3/8 spacers would be better for the engine? i looked at the carbs and they will clear the clutch arm if i was to move them up. Quote
