I have an all stock 2006 banshee. I just installed a K&N air filter with the billet adapter for it with no lid on the air box. When i hit 4th gear and give it more than half throttle it starts bogging and if i keep holding the throttle wide open it will backfire. I have to give it less than half throttle for it to pickup speed again. Gears 1 to 3 work fine at full throttle but i still feel some bogging. The bike did not bogg before when i had the stock air-filter and air-box lid on, it started after i upgraded to the K&N. How do i fix this bogging problem?

You have to re-jet when you put in the K&N and take the lid off. Up the main.

Definitely get that thing rejeted before you melt it down. I would try at least 2 to 3 sizes bigger then do a plug chop.

Oh and welcome to the one and only BHQ:cheers:

like the guys said....you need to rejet. your running super lean at the top end rpms. your goign to need to change your main jet size a few up since your motor is now less restricted from sucking air

did you rejet once you did all that if not do so and DO NOT RIDE IT UNTILL YOU DO list ur mods and someone will help you with jetting

My banshee is 2006 all stock. What size jets do i need and where do i buy them?

Most of the site sponsers should have them. Stock carbs should be around 200 mains. Try 240 and go from there. Elevation /temp also make a difference

I f I was you I would just go get a moose or dynajet kit. This will have new needles and enough different sizes of jets to get you going and more for future mods when needed. Good luck and dont forget to plugchop after changing jets. Also just to let you know dont just go by how it feels. A shee will run its ass off with a lean condition until it melts down. So just do a proper plug chop after changing jets its a must.

I was going to suggest main jet size for this guy but Im running a lot bigger than 200. Isn't that about stock size? Im running a 320 right now and it runs bad ass but uses a lot of fuel. I just ordered 310s and 300s to try to get it to use less fuel. Am I was off base on my quad? All my mods are in my signature.

no your not WAY off base....you are running aftermarket performance pipes so you would need to jump up more jet sized cause of that. BUT that does sound like your runnin too big of main jets......however your elevation could be playin a big part of that too...
