Any mods...pipes,airfilters...anything? sounds like you need to sync your carbs!! one is getting fuel the other not so much............. take your air cleaner off cause your going be tuning and its easier with it off....make sure the slides in the carb are aligned and going up and down at the same time sounds liek one is choking one side out Quote

volcrano Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 sounds like you need to sync your carbs!! one is getting fuel the other not so much............. take your air cleaner off cause your going be tuning and its easier with it off....make sure the slides in the carb are aligned and going up and down at the same time sounds liek one is choking one side out check to make sure the slides are in the right carbs,u can put then in backwards.the cutout on the slide goes towards rear of carb and the flat side to the front.one surefire way to tell right off the bat is will ur bike start one kick with no choke?if so they are backwards.that is because the if u have the flat in the back it doesnt let airflow in to lean the mix, therefore choking it without the choke on.also check to make sure choke tube is on.check compression?tors assembly on still?need more info!!good fuel flow going to carbs?float height okay? nyctow Posted July 30, 2010 Author Report Posted July 30, 2010 ok .. let me start from the beginning... i have a 2001 banshee with pro circuit pipes/mufflers... white brothers bottle.. jetted carbs. recently bored cylinders with wiseco pistons.... new gaskets.. sliders on the carbs move simultaneously. opened the carbs needles /fuel cups clean. now i got it to start on first kick but still blows smoke on the left side only . any suggestions? Sandfrk33 Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 Its usually a carb issue. I know all the replys have been the same, but pull the carbs off again. Blow air through the jets. Double check the slide cut outs are facing the rear of the bike. Spray carb cleaner when its running to make sure there isn't an air leak. Does it still have the TORS? What jets are you running?
