LilShee
I am currently running 13/41 gearing with 20in tires. I am bout to buy 21in tires and thinking to a 12/42 gearing to compensate for the tires
bansheesandrider
Putting a 12 on the front is a pretty tight bend for the chain and will make it wear pretty fast. I would go up on the rear sprocket instead of down on the front.
LilShee
So maybe a 13/43 setup. I mainly just ride in trails but yesterday we was doin a little drag racing with some other folks. We was only running about 200 feet. Off the line everything was spanking me. As we got to the end I was about half their bike behind. RagunCajun
Drag racing is a whole other Ball game. Perhaps try your current gearing with your new tires. You might like it. Or as recommended, 2 more teeth on the rear.
LilShee
Yeah we hardly ever race people. Out riding yesterday 2 shees a 450r challenged us. 1 shee was pretty much like mine just stock. He couldn't touch mine. The other shee was had 28mm carbs, k&n pods, trinity piped. It ate me off the line as we reached the finish line I was passing his back tires. The 450r was about the same way cept I was a little more behind. So I was thinking in case that ever happened again if I could catch them off the line there would be no issues beating them
