715banshee Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 (edited) Just wondering if somebody can help me out. I picked up some 111 race gas can I run that in my banshee and its basically a stock motor Edited July 11, 2010 by 715banshee Quote
locogato11283 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 yes you can but its not necessary. higher octane is needed for compression and timing increases. since youre all stock you can actually run pump gas. the 111 will not hurt you or help you in this case. Quote

I have some mods like exhaust ,filter, reeds, wiseco pistons my brother put some 111 in his yfz 450 and had more snap Quote
toytech Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 I have some mods like exhaust ,filter, reeds, wiseco pistons my brother put some 111 in his yfz 450 and had more snap the yfz is a 4 stroke and has more compresion than a stock banshee, you are better off with premium fuel but the 111 will be ok but a waist of money Quote
fastquad02blaster Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 You might actually lose some power. It will ignite slower than 91 octane. Probably not enough to notice though. Quote

madjimmax Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 It definitely smells good, but for $7 a gallon I wouldn't run it unless it is needed. I have to run it bacause of compression and it can be a pain in the ass to find so you'll have to take plenty with when going riding. I also want to take a trip to the Hatfield McCoy trails and I guess I'm going to have to change my domes out so I can run pump gas because I dont think its available there. Quote
