Iron Cross Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 ok if there is typos i am doing this on my pos celll... now here is the deal i went thru my bike and cleaned the motor from top end to carbs put all new fluids in and everything well i got it running with a nice idle but the damn thing over heats before it sucked up dust it ran top knoch never over heated at idle or when runing it hard now it overheats when u do both. i messed with the air screw and got it to stay cool when riding it but when i get on it or let it idle same problem occurs. that and it does not seem like the power it should have is there. how do i fix this problem i just cant seem to figure out where the power is amd the overheating issue.... it has a power but its not constant like it should be. seems to have a little lag in it about half way thru. please help me the tors are still on the carbs i have not gotten that far money is tight right now. Larry's Shee Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 If I'm reading this right , this problem started after your problem with the dust/dirt/air cleaner problem ? My guess is that you now have a major air leak going on. Recheck carbs, etc. ,maybe spray carb cleaner with it ideling. I wouldn't ride it until you have this figured out ,JMHO your results may vary. prssantana Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 It does sound like an air leak. Did you put that vacum hose between the carbs back on right? Crossover tube back on good? Quote
