robert0762 Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 Is it ok to run caster in a PV motor? Quote
camatv Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 it is ok but they like to gum the pv's. if its an alky motor the klotz and redline meth oil is cleaner burning. if its gas anything but yamahalube and caster oils would be better dont run them on the rich side if you keep the exhaust temps higher they wont cake and carbon as fast. jbooker82 Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 I would run klotz r50. 100% synthetic. Caster oil in a pv would be a lot of mantinence. http://www.klotzlube.com/techsheet.asp?ID=48&submit2=View Klotz R 50™ is a pure synthetic lubricant designed exclusively for use in all sustained Hi-RPM 2-stroke racing engines. R 50™ film strength is comparable to castor oil with the benefits of Clean Burn™ technology. Klotz R 50™ will challenge and outrun the competition in the following ways: •TechniPlate® lubricity system for superior film strength and anti-scuff protection •Extreme Load Carrying Capacity to eliminate bearing and ring wear •Clean Burn™ technology reduces carbon and residue build-up •Contains familiar Klotz Red for easy mixing and racy odor •Anti-Oxidation protection against rust and corrosion •Power Valve formula Quote
