popa_top2000 Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 So I finally got my freshly built 421 cub in and ready to fire for the first time and nothing. I have no spark. A little info: I took a bone stock running bike and completly stripped it down and did a frame up rebuild to make a drag bike. I put all the wireing and everything back like it was minus the TORS (little box by the coil) the wire coming off the throttle, headlights and wire for parking brake. I still have my stock key and kill switch. I need some ideas as to where to start looking for the problem. All the parts worked fine when it was tore apart so it would be hard to say something went out (it could happen though) but before I start replacing parts, what do I need to look at first. Any and all help is welcomed!! Quote
okbeast Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 If you powdercoated the frame, did you scrape some away to make sure it is grounded out? Quote
fastquad02blaster Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 I think that the coil where it bolts onto the fram has to be grounded. Quote
popa_top2000 Posted June 4, 2010 Author Report Posted June 4, 2010 I'll try scraping the frame where the coil bolts up. I guess it could be a grounding issue because when I was messing with it I did get 3 or 4 sparks total. Ill mess with it later today and see what happens. Quote

Make sure the wiring harness has a good ground to the frame as well. Quote
