i got a ported 4 mil cub on alky, 39 pwk's, shearer in frames, 17cc domes. i was trying to figure out what length swing arm to put on it. i am going to be mostly hill shooting and some occasional racing on a track, may even be on a paved track every now and then. i want something long enough so if i go bigger on my motor that i wont have to end up buying a new swinger. i was thinking like a +10 or +12 but i keep getting so many different answers i just wanted to see what some of you guys thought. i weigh about 225 and have 14-42 gearing.

I ran a +12 on my 4mil with 15-42 gearing 12 paddle extreem 72 inch rollout and dune raced it and track raced it,ran 4.17s, worked good,i weigh 235.Going to a 558 cheatah and having Stellar build me a +14 arched swinger.I just race mine at the hill on the dunes, so i don't do any tree shots on this bike.I went so long on the swinger because i can't run my wheelie bar at the dunes.

those 12 paddles didnt hurt your top end any? i should have a pretty strong engine as i just got it ported and put on alky. i just dont want to buy a set of tires and a swingarm and them not be the right one. i am probably going to go with a +12 but i was hoping to get some more responses. nobody else out there has any more input?

No,the paddles worked good, you might be able to pull a 15 tooth up front, mine did no problem with a 2nd gear launch.I will probably go to a 14 paddle with the longer swinger and bigger motor. You could try posting it up in the drag forum maybe get more response.

on flat drags id say +12 +14 and 12-14 paddle extreme possibly stagger'd sand condition will dictate paddle...

tree shots and hill i'd lean more towards 8=10 length and 11-13 extreme's

the shorter the arm the less paddle you will need the shorter the arm the more weight you will put on the tires B UT the more paddle you have the more power on top you will need to turn them also sand conditions..
