I have seen a lot of people powder coat their brake calipers...

What is the best way to do it?

Should I completely disassemble the caliper or just tape everything off and have powder shot on it?

Take it right apart. Cant be any rubber seals what so ever, when it goes in the oven.

Make sure they do a pre-heat on it, chances are it's had brake fluid spilled on it before and that stuff is hell on PC or anything really. You'll also have to be hella careful when bleeding your brakes.

before you have it PCed, you should grind of all the excess material and clean it up. youd be amazed at how much extra stuff there is on the rear caliper...
