Hoping someone can help..... I have replaced wire harness, stator, CDI, voltage reg, and just about everything else. Have grounded harness to motor, and cleaned ground points on coil and frame, still nothing, I know Im getting power, lights come on, and have tested every conection there is to test. also, have tried 2 different coils and multiple CDI's, there is also plenty of juice getting to the coil through orange wire, just not going through coil, all coils are BRAND new that I have used . HELP PLEASE before I use this rig for target practice

What about the pick up coil? Broken magnets in flywheel?

i'm assuming that with the different coils, you tried different caps (boots)?.......and you get ac output to the coil? if it's consistant, than it should be enough to spark.....did you have the other plug installed/connected when you checked one for spark? try backing the pickup off a cunthair to spec...i use a sparkplug box.. did you use the proper puller to remove the flywheel? the one that screws in..

yeah i used flywheel puller, and did everything right, I just tested both coils with ohm meter and there was nothing between the wires, test says 4700 - 7100 or somethin like that, but nothing, so mabye its the coil, not to sure but could the cdi fry the coil???

exactly how are you testing the coils? what wire to what? you have to test cap to cap, and orange to black.......i've never heard of a cdi frying a coil......don't think it's possible
