cheeta Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 i just rebuilt my engine and i cant get it to start it getting spark and gas and has good compression so i took my pipes and carbs off to do a leak test and there was gas in both the pipes that poured out. i did the test and noticed my boost bottle was leaking around the boots so i replaced it with the stock balance tube and tried it again and i didn't even lose half a pound in 7mins. so my question is how did the gas get in my pipes? was it from the airleak? tundish2800 Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 what kind off jetting do you have? Your floats are probably sticking thats why you have gas in your pipes. Quote
firebanshee Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 Do you shut your fuel off when you are not riding your bike? Quote
cheeta Posted April 26, 2010 Author Report Posted April 26, 2010 i usualy forget to shut my gas off Quote
firebanshee Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 i usualy forget to shut my gas off That's how fuel got into your pipes, when you don't shut off your fuel and your needle valves leak a little or your floats stick it will empty your whole tank into your engine. If you kick your bike over when it is fuel of fuel it can hydrualic your motor and hurt something. Take out the plugs and slowly roll it over, then after you do that a few time kick it with the plugs out a bunch of times, that should get most of it out. Quote
