Cali Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Whats the best two stoke oils to run? When I use to race motocross years ago I always ran 927 @ 32 to 1.After awile, I noticed it gumed up my power valve on my CR250, so i went to Super M.Ive been running 927 @ 32 to1 in my Bnashee.Im also Mixing 112 with 91 pump fuel.So should I just stay where im at or should I ru a diff oil?I always here people say it gums everthing up etc,but I really like the smell of 927.Also would it be safe to run 40 to 1? SAVAGE420 Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Ive run Amsoil Interceptor for years in alot of things from sleds, bikes, quads at 50:1 and ive never had a problem. But everyone has an oil brand they like just like anything and everything else on the planet. I say pick any FULL Synthetic you like and can get on a regular basis close to where you are and stick with it. Quote
Cali Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Posted April 20, 2010 Thanks alot,Im thinking of going with somting a bit cheaper anyways.BTW I love the "trailer park boys" lol Quote
jbooker82 Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 The reason why 927 gums stuff up is because of caster oil. Caster oil is a great protecting oil but is comes with concequences it burns dirty. I believe it is mixed with some other oils it isnt 100% caster oil. I run klotz supertechniplate at 40:1 it is 80% synthetic and 20%caster oil. It burns pretty clean for having caster oil. Quote

bansheesandrider Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 I run the Klotz R50 at 40:1. It is a full synthetic and it smells good to me, but more importantly, I have never lost an engine running it and I get very good topend life out of it. Quote
