superfastyfz450driver
hi guys what is the angle difference between the banshee and blaster pistons and why do they require a special dome, the cheeta cub cylinder kit i got set for a 4mm stroker , 5mm long rod kit, it came with 68mm blaster piston's, i have a set of 17cc big bore 68mm domes the domes are for banshee type pistons, what would i have to watch out for
crustydemon
Not too sure what you mean by angle and not familiar with the use of Blaster pistons but for the longer rod the piston pin location will need to be higher up towards the crown and for the added stroke you're domes have to be cut for it. If you use a dome for a stock stroke on a 4 mill you'll have a nice pile of junk in a hurry. Hope that answers it.
bansheeseat$$
The blaster pistons have a 9* angle and the banshee pistons have a 12* angle on the dome of the piston. You can't use the banshee domes with the blaster piston.
mopar1rules
I thought banshee pistons had 13* crown angle?
superfastyfz450driver
so basically the blaster piston use's a flatter piston crown which would in turn lower compression ratio
