MasterBlaster Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Hey guys, i have an 05 yamaha blaster and an 05 banshee. Im trying to sell the blaster so that i can buy another banshee for my dad. He found a 87 honda 250r fourtrax thats in great condition but the only problem is hes most likly taking the banshee for him self. I dont mind a 250r but how much faster is it over the blaster, i mean i grew up riding the blaster but ive always wanted a banshee and now i have one but maybe not for long.. what do you think of a 250r? Are they fast?etc thanks Quote

If your dad found one be thankful. You'll love it. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Don't get rid of the Banshee to get it, getting rid of the Blaster is OK. 250Rs are great bikes. Stock to stock, a R will ride better and turn better than a Banshee, but the Banshee will outrun it. I think there is far more potential in a Banshee for upgrades in both suspension and power. If you ride sand, or desert, then you definitely want to stay with a Banshee, everybody in my riding group that had a 250R sold it to get a Banshee. If you are in the woods a 250R might be a better choice. Quote

I have seen worked up 250r's out run cheetah banshee's. If i did not have a shee i would take a 250r anytime of day. They have potential in the right hands. A banshee it gives you a lot more options as far as upgrading and modding the bike. Quote

I sold a banshee years ago cause I wanted something different, but I tell yah, year after year I moaned about it, and told everyone who'd listen, that it was the biggest mistake Id ever made, and Im married!
