The answer is YES .

 

If the plating is gone, it needs to stripped and replated.

 

Theres a place in Fon Du Lac Wisconsin called US Chrome, they do a fantastic job of replating.

 

They can fix a cyl even if its damaged. They can weld it, rebore it, replate it, and diamond hone it.

 

I send them ALL my cyl work.

hello , i blew my left piston and on the very surface of the cylinder the plating cheeped off is about a quarter an inch long, do i have to replate ?

 

What cyls are you running? Stock cyls are not plated, cubs ect are. Just saying :evil:
