foxracing114 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 my banshee front breaks are very weak how do i fix them ? also what type of coolant does a banshee use ? Quote
papa_smurf49319 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 its brakes by the way, try bleeding them. Also a all make all model coolant will work or the old green stuff will work just fine. Dont use a dexcool or Go5, it will work fine if you replace the whole system with that type but its a un needed expense. Some will say engine ice or water wetter, used both and they worked fine, never noticed a difference, but i didnt record temp either. Cody Quote

FrankieSquid Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 i did bleed them out and replace the break fluid they are still very weak what else can i do ? also were can i get the coolant ? What condition are your pads, you may have to replace that if bleeding them did not work, while your there get a set of new rotors (preventive maintenance is key). As for the coolant you can buy some at any automotive retail store or a bike shop. Here in AZ the outside temps reach 100+ and engine ice is what i been using in all of my bikes without any issues. it's about 20 bucks for a gallon i think. Quote
foxracing114 Posted March 19, 2010 Author Report Posted March 19, 2010 i live in az aswell but in phx where do you think i can get it ? i need it by tommarow because im taking the shee to glamis Quote
burnfuel Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 alot of time if you have a cailper slide frozen it will have a low pedal or brake lever you can also used a power bleeder that run off a air compressor or a vacuum bleeder but when you are bleeding brakes you need to start at the bolt on the bottom of the rear brake master and then move to were brake hose meet s the brake cailper then open the bleeder valve on cailper this way you no you have all the air out of system this is to ways you do the front same way Quote
