Yuo can run a 17 in the front but thats as big as you can go without cuttingIf you are still runing a stock motor then you need to stay with the 15 front and 40 in the rear.

Whats' done to your motor that you need a 17t sprocket? Running 1/4 mile? A stock (bolt on modded) motor won't efficiently pull a 16/41 in 6th gear.

I'm running a 421 cub with 39 pwk's. My gearing is 15/41 with 18'' tires. Going to try out the 1/4 mile once I get my new swing arm and shocks. Just

wondering if 15 is the biggest I can fit in there.

AHHHH....ok, that makes sense.

 

Yeah, like mentioned you can easily get a 17t in there. I have seen what I believe was a 20t before. I think it had to be from a street bike. I think the case had been worked on to get it to fit in there, though.
