GrMeyer Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) Does anyone haveany input on wheel spacers or extended rear hubs. im looking for a little more control, but also dont want to buy crap that will break when im deep in the woods. I could see spacers for the rear. But for the front it is a bad idea. You will get alot of bump steer. And not good for you being in the woods. Your best bet is to find some +2 arms. And the spacers are a nice penny as well. You will be almost half way to a rear axle that offers lifetime. Also look into the suspension forum. There are lots of these already that have been talked about. Edited March 9, 2010 by GrMeyer Quote
volcrano Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) agreed the bump steer sucks, plus the geometry is off where the weight and force is applied,so the spacers do make a weak point for other parts.ive broken many of tie rod ends because of the added force applied and if you lightly(compared to a factory or properly set up +2 arm)hit a bump or side swipe a log, they break easily.at least with fronts which i have and took off for the actual +2 arms-not a great way to go-u gain control in stance but lose as much in other ways.not worth it,esp. for the money. esterelbanshee Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Flip the rear wheels around for about 3 inches of extra width. Wont work with the fronts unless you redo the valves. Quote
