I have a 2000 Banshee with a Noss cool head 19cc, timing advanced 4 degrees and Toomey Pipes. When I run it hard I hear the antifreeze boiling over in the radiator and puking it out into the overflow. I was running in 50 to 60 degree temperature today so it should not have overheated. Is this the impeller going bad or is it my radiator? I have the stock radiator and impeller on there now...Thanks

some people dont realize is that radiators do go bad the channels get blocked with gunk, check your impeller out and look at you impeller gear also, another thing to look for is if someone took the radiator lines of they sometimes cross the overflow line with the head vent line causing coolant to flow into the overflow rather than around the engine. Invest in a temp gauge it is a safe way to protect you engine also when adding mods you can see how it effects your temps. my boss radiator got destroyed in a crash and I bought a cheap one off ebay from china, Works just as good, I run a vector so I could notice if there was a difference.

I ran it with the radiator cap off and have no coolant flow. Shut it down and checked the impeller. It turns freely which i am assuming is a bad thing? Ordered a new impeller and found a radiator on ebay so i am going to replace both. Am i missing anything?

Yea you are missing something, you probably have a broken drive gear to the impeller. It is the little white plastic gear underneath the clutch cover. When you pull of your clutch cover it is attached to the impeller shaft.

Also look into the rad and see if there is any build up? If there is, go and buy the bottle of flush out at the local auto parts. You dont use much. Because if I remember, the coolant is only around 2/3's of a half gal.
