9banshee6 Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 well the other day i was riding my bike and when ever i would give my bike about 3/4 of the throttle it would stay accelerated and run on its self . is it possible that my carb slides are sticking with something?? Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 yes its possible. have you ever pulled your carbs and cleaned them thoroughly? that would be a good start. make sure there is no dirt in there causing the issue. also, how old is your throttle cable? it could be hanging up causing the issue. GrMeyer Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 I have seen people over oil their filters. Which in turns the oil gets sucked down to the slides and the oil starts to gum up the slides. Just clean the slides and check the cable like loco said. Quote
