zcurotz33 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 i took my stock head off and only one of my pistons are dark on the top and the other one is still a silver color and kind of a rough feeling on top of it. and my plug was soaked in gas wen i took it out of the side that wasnt burning, so is my problem just a bad plug or is it a bigger problem than that?? 00sheerzr Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 i would first check to see if your getting good blue spark to both plugs. Did it run on both cylinders or did you feel like it had no power, also did you do a compression test before you took the head offf? Pictures are key Quote

If your piston has a dark grey look to it and is rough on top of it this could be a sign of detonation, or a lean condition which could have made you lose compression, which would mean that now your fuel isn't burning properly and losing power. This would make your plug look wet when you pull it out, 105 psi is getting kind of low on the compression side. How does the cylinder look? Mabye it is time to freshen up the top end. Quote
