havasu Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 More easy questions for you. Do I got a desert tank? I notice most grills screw in from the side, and my tank goes over where the screws would be. My Shee smokes pretty good.... Im mixin at 40:1 sound good? The damn kickstarter jingles like crazy while its running.... It drives me nuts.... is it just worn out and need replaced? And the kick starter slips past the stop and allows me to kick it all the way down. I was cleanin her up ... and found this. Vent tube or something... where does this go??? Thanks guys, I just posted some pics of my Shee comment away Quote
98_shee Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 That vent hose goes in the back of the moter rite in the middle of the cases below the rear motor mount. 40:1 is what i mix mine at, what kind of oil are you running? Kicker just needs rebuild to get it to stop ratteling, as far as it sliping past the stop it may be bent or just wore out. They are pretty cheap on here or ebay. The bike looks good from what I can see, post some more pics of it. Quote

havasu Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Posted February 24, 2010 if you want more traction drop the rear tire pressure in half Alright I took her out today, first time riding it here in Arizona. Im from Seattle. Way rockier than I thought, my 20" rears are way to small, should of bought 22's DAMN> Cant lower the pressure anymore cuz that will bring my closer to the ground. Rear skid plates hits alot of rocks. I still cant find where the vent tube goes (FIRST PIC TOP OF POST) If someone could snap a shot that would be cool. The quad ran Great, Very Ping-y and full of power. I was looking it over when i got home and I noticed the Intake boot (or w/e its called) is ripped! Can i just put some black silocone gasket maker stuff on it for now? Quote
havasu Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Posted February 24, 2010 I know my chain is dirty and needs some good Chain lube...... But Are these teflon guides wearing good? Quote

I'm no expert but if it was my shee, I would take the time to fix that problem correctly before riding it for long periods of time or in dusty conditions. I would not use silicone gasket on the balance tube boots. If the gasket material breaks down it would get sucked right into the cylinder. I'm suprised its not running lean on that side (if it is leaking air through it). Quote

Also just replace the chain rollers because its better to fix things before they break! Quote
midlifecrisis Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Nice bike man, I was checking it out in the gallery. Ive got the same tank on my bike, do the bars rub on it at all when they are cranked to either side? As far as the intake boot is concerned, replace both of those right away man. For $20 on ebay, you can get new replacements and get rid of the risk of leaning her out and potentially melting a piston. I just bought a bike from a guy who didnt realize the intake boots were cracked, and it resulted in a bad score in the exhaust side of one of the cylinders. Quote
