firebanshee Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 You might need a new shift shaft, the shaft that your shifter bolts to. I have had my bike start shifting bad and thought that i had tranny problems and found that it was just a bad shift shaft. On the end that contats the shift star pegs that double pawl and spring gets worn out. They cost about 35$ hopefully its not a internal trans or shift fork problem. Quote

Mine did the same thing, my shift shft was out of adjustment because the adjustment bolt was lose( yellow arrow) Where the red arrows are pointing, make sure the space is equal on both sides and you adjust it by turning the bolt were the yellow arrow is pointing.
