I am so freaking pissed, i got sold a broken banshee that the guy managed to get it to work for like 15 minutes and then it broke down. I bought for 3000$ and everything inside is melted, pistons, everything, gunna take 2000$ for full engine rebuild, this is really pissing me off and the guy dosn't even what to know about it. I spoke to him and nearly smashed his skull open but i didn't want to go to jail.

I agree with the above. I've NEVER worked on a banshee and got my first one a year or so back and it needed rings and bore when I got it. Great bunch of guys here that are very knowledgeable from a simple top end job to full blown alky drag bikes. Jut ask a few questions. I zipped right through it. A rebuild won't take you a hour tops. Very easy to do!

Oh wow!!! This sounds exactly like what I went through back in July when I bought mine, only I paid $1800 for mine and after 3 top end rebuilds, new frame and a couple thousand more, I got over $4k in mine. I didn't know a damn thing about these things when I bought it. I had the local dealership rebuild mine the first time and second time and yes, it was expensive. The last time, I did it myself. I was very intimidated by doing it, but BUY A MANUAL and ASK QUESTIONS ON THE FORUMS. It will save you tons of $$ in the end and besides, its f'n cold out right now and no need to ride it anyway. Just speaking from experience and telling ya what I've learned over the months. Your story sounds exactly like mine. Mine made it down the street and back once I got it home and pooof!!

yup, i got the same story i bought mine for 1100 it ran great when i got it home but that only lasted about 20 minuts and pooooof she blew up. i bought a new crank new pistons and cylinders and did it all my self, the top ends are simple but i was worried about doing the crank myself, but like it was said above a manual and the help of the hq you can do anything to your shee. just do it yourself and remember take your time, dont rush through it and u shouldnt have any problems. i might have 800 bucks into the new parts but in the long run i do have a brand new motor top to bottom and only got about 2000 into the quad, thats not bad at all if ya ask me. good luck man and do it yourself and ask questions here thats what we're here for  oh ya if you still dont want to do it youself let me know ill do it for ya for 500 less than the stealership, lol
