captainhowdie Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 I need to buy a new set of paddles. Skat trak's for sure. But what size, ro, how many paddles and should i go with? Extremes or haulers? I have a 421 cub w/cleanup done by fast, 39pwk's on race gas, extreme dunable 1-5, shearer inframes, and i weigh 250lbs. 50% drag race, 50% duning, so it would have to be a good all around tire. Any input would be great. Quote
dco3100 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 22" 10pdl extreme. I wouldve said 12s but with the rider weight and "duning" id go with 10 Quote
shanYE west Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Stay away from 22" tires if your going to be duning.. They have too much roll.. Get a set of 10pdl extreme 21x12x8 Try to get them on a 8x9 rim rather then the 8x8's if possible. the 66-68 ro tires will be more universal and give a good tire for both duning and drag racing. jlevasseur Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 22x11x8 all day long! I would go with a 72 roll out . This tire will help you stay out of the ruts, grab traction, great for dunning, tree shots, drag racing ect ect... I have these tires on all 3 of my banshee's from my play bike's to drag bike. I would go with a 22-11-8 10 paddle extreme super lite, (maybe a 12 paddle) just depends on set up. Quote
sheefreak Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 A 72 rollout 12 paddle on a 6 swinger w/a big guy and a 421 cub is going to equal big guy on his back....a lot. Quote

shanYE west Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 20x10x10 is my favorite for duning.. Slides great since it dont have any sidewall flex and has good straigt line traction. That sidewall starts getting too big it will want to roll when sliding and cornering. Gotta find the happy medium between straight line traction and cornering ability. There is a reason why you dont see MX racers using 22" holeshots on 8" rims. The 21x12x8's on a wide rim will give you a nice wide footprint that will give you great strait line traction but since its a 21" on a wide rim the sidewall will be ruduced allowing better cornering. and I HIGHLY dont suggest super lites for our dunes... its a flat waiting to happen and alot of money out the window. I get nervous just drag racing out there. Ground clearance isn't a issue out here. And Like sheefreak said.. 12pdl is gonna be a lil much for a +6 arm and a 421cub drag racing not to mention it will drag down the big end. Quote
