I haven't run my shee for a long time. I just never have time anymore. So a few weeks ago I open up the gas tank and take a wiff cause the fuel has been in there for a while. I always use fuel stabalizer but it has been a very long time. It ran fine when I put it away last. So I take a whiff of the gas and it smells fine. I turn on the fuel valve and hold pull out the choke ( I have to hold my choke out or it will pull back in by itself) Kick it a few times and she fires up. It was pretty cold out so I hold the choke out for about two minutesto get her warmed up. After that I let the choke back in to the halfway notch for a minute. Then turn off the choke. As soon as there was no choke, the kick start side cylinder stops running. I pull out the choke and it fires again. Then both cylinders start acting up. So I pull the carb off and give it a quick clean. When I empty the bowl I get that bad gas smell. Now I always run all the fuel out of my carbs when I am done riding. I just turn off the fuel valve and let it idle until it runs out of gas. This has kept my carbs clean for years. So I put the carb back together and I get the same symptoms. I got pissed and put the thing away. Fast forward to today. I drained all the gas and put fresh pre mix in with stabalizer. Try to fire it up and I get the same results. The kickstart side cylinder is back firing and only running if the choke is pulled. So I pull that carb again. Sure enough there is a chunk of shit in the main jet. I clean it out and blow everything out with compressed air and give the carb a good cleaning. Put her back together and she now runs like a raped ape again.I am just always amazed at what such a small piece of debris partially blocking the jet will cause. It was probably old gas also. Anyway I took it out riding today and she ripped. I love when I haven't ridden it in a while and hit that powerband what an adrenelin rush. I rode for a few hours today and am realizing I have to make time for my banshee.
