I need to replace my clutch plates in my bike.I was wondering if Hinson makes plates, friction plates, and springs for stock basket, or if i should just by a barnette kit. I dont have money for a lockup and im not drag racing(well sometimes).

My damn axle carrier lockup nut keeps coming loose and i had it REALLY tight. What is out ther that works?

Has anyone used these tires??? Artrax mxt tire 20x11x9 They are cheap on motosport online I only want them as a temporary tire until i replace my rims.

I'm suprised no one took a shot at this.

I'm not sure if Hinson makes clutch plates for a stock basket, but most guys on here are using the FAST clutch from FAST racing, or a TUSK clutch from Rocky Mountain ATV. Both work really well, and I havent heard any complaints about either.

The axle nuts will spin loose occasionally, but not if you get them tightened up right. Follow the procedure in Clymer, hopefully wou have a Torque wrench, and the right spanner wrenches, if not, I would look into getting both. You should also be using the red/high strength loc-tite on the axle nuts.

You can also buy an aftermarket single piece lock nut that works pretty good too.

Never heard of the tires, good size tire, make sure the knobs look pretty agressive at least like Razrs, or else they might not get any bite.

I have been running a Toomey clutch in my bike since 1995, yes the same clutch this whole time. I run 3 Toomey springs and 3 stock springs. The last time I had the clutch cover off it still looked in very good shape, it does not slip at all and I fan the clutch alot when I'm climbing hills in the dunes. I would recomend a 1 piece axle nut with a pinch bolt and blue loctite on both the axle and pinch bolt threads.

I have a set of these tires on my 97 and for the price they are awsome! They are a little heaver than my razers on my other Banshee but in the sand a loose dirt the hook up as good or better. I do alot of trail riding and some time on a river that is mostly sand and they are great. I have had them for a few months now and very tough and great traction.
