damshee Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 Hi, Planning on buying my first Compression Tester. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/accessories/accProductDetails.jsp?counter=3&categoryDisplayName=Tools&fromString=search&itemIdentifier=347021_0_0_&productId=347021&sortType=&parentId=6-10&filterByKeyWord=compression&categoryNValue=100006&navValue=100476&fromWhere=&itemId=476-10&displayName=Compression+Tester&store=1576&skuDisplayName=2+1/2+in.+standard+and+metric+professional+compression+tester+kit&brandName=Actron I saw that one at $39.99 has a couple of different sizes, plus Its the same depth as the plug. I need one for tomorrow, no way of ordering one. What's a good compression reading for a Banshee at 3700-4,104.13 feet above sea level. thanks in advance. Quote
sheerider20 Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 well in terms of compression testers you get what you pay for.. it would work but it might be off a couple psi. an your compression depends on if you have a stock head if you do is it milled? if so how much.. are the intakes an exhaust ported on your cylinders? or do you have a cool head an if you do what size are your domes? an is it ported?
