fork Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 Hi there I was needing to know what you guys thought about if I could run pump gas in my stock port, head milled .030, +4 timing, fatties, with 160psi comp. motor. Thanks Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 You are right on the verge of needing higher octane fuel. Generally 155lbs static compression is what we use as a baseline for pump gas. Between your timing and compression I would probably run some kind of mix of racegas and pump-gas. You're not THAT high yet, so you can probably get away with a 1/4 race gas and 3/4 pump gas. If you have easy/cheap access to racegas I'd go ahead and do a 50/50 mix. Quote
fork Posted January 3, 2010 Author Report Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the reply, I did some searching before I asked and found I was right on the line but I just wanted to make sure and do you think I would benefit adding alittle more timing on this motor. bebetekbanshee358 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 IF U WANNA ADD A LIL MORE TIMING THEN RUN MORE RACE GAS THEN PUMP GAS... Quote
