looks like the same thing toomey sells, but they use a foam filter. I have one but never used it cause I ride trails and dont want to suck water in.

I ran the toomey 2 into 1 setup for a little bit. As soon as I changed over to the pods I noticed a big difference. Better throttle response it pulled harder and I got more bugs in my teeth...

I got the toomey one, with an outerwear, it's higher than pods, but I still steer clear of high water.

I will stick with the pods then. Can I still trail ride and ride in the rain if they have outerwares? I am not often riding through high water or in the rain, but sometimes have the urge to mess around in the snow.

Outerwares are water resistant, not water proof so you will get water through them. Think about it, if you're on the throttle, the engine is trying to suck air-dirt-water-whatever through the filters so if water can get to your filter it wants to go through. Thats why I run an airbox.
