I have a 2004 banshee it has toomey t6 pipes and jets, 2 into 1 t6 air filter and boost bottle. I rode the bike two weeks ago and it ran fine then I left to go to works for two weeks offshore. When i got back home and started it it started fine went for a ride after it warmed up and at about half throttle it spit and sputtered through all gears. Thought it might have been compression but did a compression test and it was at 120psi on both sides. It is a little colder here than it was before I went to work does that mess with a banshee alot. I am new to 2 strokes not to sure. Temp is usually 75 to 80 in Louisiana and its about 40 now. Also took carbs apart and they are very clean. If anyone has any idea I appreciate the help thanks. banghead

did u check the pilot jets to see if they are clean .. take em out blow em out run a wire threw the jet . which ever u prefer.. and being that the weather drop 30 degress. it calls fopr more jet.. colder air is heavier denser air... more fuel... and get rid of that tors shit. im having the same problem, right now..... maybe ur mix has been sitting for too long??

well, 2 things.......the gas may be a bit old and separated, and you need to rejet for the cold if you haven't already.........+2 sizes on the mains. drain your tank, and at least make sure there is good mixed up fuel in there. 2 week old should be fine, but idk, sometimes not....most likely just separated...

I will be rejetting soon, the gas is only two weeks old I ran out went to the gas station and filled it up I put it in the day before I left and rode it a little bit not sure how fast it would seperate. I had the carbs out day before yesterday and apart they were a little dirty so I thought it might have been that so I cleaned them, same thing happen. The tors is unpluged but I will soon get an tors eleminator. What size jets do you think I should use not to familiar. And I'm thinking of junking the boost bottle what's do you all think. Thanks again for the help.

you havent stated what size mains u have in there now,im sure they arent 200s since its piped.just go up 2 sizes from whats in it,1 size is 10,so if you have 290s in there you would need 310s (going up 2).as for the boost bottle-you dont have to get rid of it since you have it-it wont make a difference.thats why people shouldnt buy one-they dont make a difference, but since u have it fuck it.or out ur stocker on and ebay that one if u dont want it.make sure all jets are clean and try some new plugs.

Yep I did I use castor 32 to1 . I pulled the plugs today and put new ones they were black and wet. But what confuses me is that after I put the new plugs it still did it then I pulled the choke out and it stoped but I thought when your plug was black and wet it was to rich so why when I pull the choke it runs fine? I'm so dam confused

how long are u running the bike before you look at ur plugs?are you getting it hot and unloaded??if u let it idle for a while ur plugs will most likely be wet.are u sure ur pilots are clean??

I let it idle for about 2 minutes before I ride to warm up and I let it run out of gas. Then pull the plugs I will be pulling my carbs off again to see if I have more trash if I do it could be trash in the tank . Hope it works I'll be doing a plug chop tommorow.
