We run both the of the softest compound tires from Hoosier and American Racers. No burn out is required for either and we runs low 10s in the 1/4. The last tires I had looked great tread wise after 2 years, but for max performance. They will only be good for about a year. The key to longer life is keep them in the dark and keep them cool.
